Kia ora e te whānau o Whānau ki te Ako,

I work at Upper Harbour Primary School as a Year 5-6 teacher from Monday to Wednesday and have my ASL days on Thursday and Fridays.

As an ASL, my portfolio in 2024 has a focus on Supporting Diverse Learners across our Kahui Ako. This means I will be working to build teacher confidence and capability to support diverse ākonga to succeed and have a sense of belonging.

I am looking to support and work alongside existing networks such as our SENCOs.  I am also available to support our teachers and support staff with resourcing, PD and planning such as UDL. Outside of my portfolio I have a passion for digital learning and using technology such as AI to make our lives easier. I am looking forward to coming around our schools, and working together for our ākonga.

Kia ora koutou,

I have led the Science Department at ASHS since 2018, and within that role have had the opportunity to lead significant curriculum innovation and changes towards student directed learning and ways of incorporating UDL techniques into lessons.

My portfolio as ASL is officially Cultural Competency and I am happy to support you to become confident in culturally responsive practice. Last year I developed a cultural competency framework for our Kāhui ako, and have previously completed an action research project on Belonging for Tauiwi students. I am also happy to support you in Science, Universal Design for Learning, Learner Agency. My teaching experience started in the UK, where I taught a variety of curricula in multicultural settings.

I’m excited to plan with you, for you or work alongside you in developing your pedagogy this year.  I look forward to hearing from you.

I have led the Mathematics Department at ASHS since 2020 and within that role have had the opportunity to lead significant curriculum innovation and changes towards student directed learning and ways of incorporating UDL techniques into lessons.

My portfolio as ASL is officially Learner Agency and I am happy to support any of you in developing your systems or practice in this space as well as Numeracy, Maths, Universal Design for Learning or anything else you can think of!.  I have experience teaching Year 3 and Year 5 in London and since then have moved gradually in the secondary space.  I’m keen to plan with you, for you or work alongside you in developing your pedagogy this year.  I look forward to hearing from you.
